SLEEPOVER is OVER!!!

Sleepover is one of the most awaited events by the PS, Grade1 and Grade 2. The students enjoyed a night with their friends. They got the chance to prepare their own meals (salads) and play tag and hide and seek in the dark with friends and teachers.

It is wonderful to see how independent they are and how they have grown from little kids to young ladies and gentlemen! :)

Money Matters

The Grade 1s showed how familiar they are with Japanese coins and notes. We explored the value of the coins and notes. In the end, they simulated a shopping center and used play money to buy items in their shopping list.

Why are houses built the way they are?

The students did a research work about traditional houses around the world. They looked into the designs of the house and the materials used in building them. Afterwards, they shared their findings to their classmates too.

They found out that factors like weather, climate (temperature), natural disasters, and others affect the way houses are designed and built.

Creativity at its best

The kids tried out the "tape-resistant" technique in creating an artistic work. They decorated the blank Easter egg templates and changed them into wonderful ART pieces. Great job, Grade 1's!

Easter Egg Hunting

The Easter Bunny visited the school and left some special presents for  the kids. They excitedly searched for their presents. Everybody gets one pack of treats. Happy Easter everyone!!!

Comparing Houses

Last week, the students searched about qualities of different types of homes. They looked into the materials used to build that home, the purpose why such homes are built, etc. After getting familiar with the types of homes, the used the graphic organiser to cite similarities and differences between houses.
